About the Owner

My Pilates journey began in 2013 after the birth of my first child. Pilates helped restore my pelvic floor and reconnect me to my body in a way that felt empowering and sustainable. I continued training personally for a decade, and after having my third child, I committed to deepening my practice even further. In 2023, I enrolled in a comprehensive Pilates instructor training program under Master Educator Laressa Mems, completing the program in 2024.

During this time, I was fortunate to teach a dedicated group of students who trained with me throughout my certification. When they no longer had a space to continue their practice, I felt called to create a studio where the community could move safely, intentionally, and at any level. That vision became Midland Strength Lab.

I teach from the six traditional Pilates principles and focus on mindful, quality movement—not reps. Every body has a different capacity each day, and I believe in honoring that. My goal is to offer a space where anyone—beginners, athletes, those rebuilding strength, or those simply seeking balance—can walk in exactly as they are and leave feeling supported, capable, and inspired to return.

As a mom of three boys who are competitive athletes with D1, NFL, and MLB ambitions, I also incorporate these same principles into training youth and teen athletes. Pilates has a unique ability to support people of all ages, levels, and physical journeys. It strengthens the body, steadies the mind, and improves overall well-being—and that connection between movement and mental health continues to inspire my teaching every day.

“I had such a great experience at Midland Strength Lab! The space is clean, calming, and full of good energy. I took a yoga class with Amy and she was absolutely amazing, super knowledgeable, encouraging, and made the class feel comfortable for all levels.
You can tell she truly loves what she does.
